Rachel Thompson

Rachel Thompson is currently the Operations Manager for the centre. She oversees the ongoing clinical trials like the IVON and IVON PP study which is focused on anemia in pregnant and postpartum women. She is also the project consultant on the ongoing PIPSICKLE trial which is focused on sickle cell pregnant women.

She has expertise in international research grants and coordination of day-to-day research activities and operations of the centre. Some of these involve the development of study protocols for clinical trials, logistics and coordination of intervention materials, managing clinical and administrative staff plus engaging with policymakers, healthcare workers and stakeholders.
