Dr A.A Busari

Dr. Busari is a Physician scientist, Clinical pharmacologist, and kidney specialist with a focus in clinical trials, pharmacoepidemiology, and renal and HIV pharmacotherapy. He has his undergraduate degree in medicine and surgery and graduated from the University of Lagos in 2000; Masters in Clinical pharmacology from University of Lagos in 2007 and a Fellowship in internal medicine from the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in 2012. He has a certificate in clinical management of HIV from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2018. Currently, he is a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutics, and Toxicology and a faculty member of W.H.O African Centre of Excellence for Drug Research, Herbal Medicine Development and Regulatory Science (ACEDHARS). Over the years, he has been teaching at the University College of Medicine and conducted research in Clinical pharmacology, renal medicine, and HIV pharmacotherapy. He has publications in local and international journals and won some grants.

Dr. Abdulwasiu Busari has been involved in clinical trials and won some grants. In the year 2020, he was the site Principal Investigator (IP) and Co-principal investigator of Cholorocovid and immune booster in covid clinical trials respectively. He is currently a Co-PI in Ziliv study sponsored by international pharmaceutical company
