CCTRIS January 2026 Newsletter
Trials and Triumph: Clinical Research Chronicles
Welcome Message
Welcome to the January 2026 edition of Trials and Triumph: Clinical Research Chronicles.
The start of a new year often comes quietly, but with purpose. January at CCTRIS has been a month of reflection, alignment, and strategic planning as we set the tone for the year ahead. Across teams and projects, we have been intentional about reviewing lessons from 2025, refining priorities, and strengthening the foundations that will guide our work in clinical trials, implementation science, and capacity building in 2026.
As always, we remain committed to delivering research that is rigorous, ethical, people-centered, and impactful. We appreciate your continued partnership and encourage you to stay tuned as the year unfolds.
Supporting Research Infrastructure and Scientific Advancement
In January, CCTRIS was represented at the commissioning of the GP2–CMUL Molecular Laboratory, a major milestone for biomedical research at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
Professor Njideka Okubadejo, a Senior Researcher at CCTRIS and a leading figure in neurological and genetic research, heads the laboratory. The launch marks an important step toward strengthening molecular research capacity, fostering innovation, and enabling locally driven scientific discovery.
CCTRIS is proud to support and celebrate initiatives that advance research infrastructure and align with our shared commitment to excellence, collaboration, and impactful science.
